With the soft stroking of his hair and the pleasant weight that hit post-orgasm, Xander had his eyes shut until he felt his partner's gaze upon him, eyelids fluttering open just enough to look back at him; his smile soft. "That means the world, coming from you." Because Viktor wouldn't just say that if he didn't mean it.
He definitely wouldn't say it if he didn't mean it. In this moment, Xander feels like a discovery, a breakthrough, as significant as any of his scientific or magical feats, if not more.
He gazes at him adoringly for another moment, then kisses his cheek with a small laugh.
"Beautiful and sleepy. I think I can handle the clean up, if you would like to relax."
"Are you certain?" His grip on him tightened just a little, not willing to give him up yet. "I can will myself awake a little longer, if you need assistance."
"I'll be fine, Xander." He kisses his partner's cheek, then realizes-- he's still inside him. Hm.
Nonetheless, he eases back slowly, allowing Xander to slip out. It feels quite strange, the slipping, and the now being empty. He moves to sit on the edge of his bed, looking down at the mess he made of himself and Xander. He takes his crutch and stands, limping to the attached bathroom, careful not to trip on his own foot, as he is wont to do when not wearing his brace. His bare metal foot makes a clanking sound each time it hits the floor.
He runs a cloth under warm water and uses it to wipe himself off, then thoroughly rises it out and brings it back into the bedroom, sitting on the bed again to gently wipe Xander clean.
"All right. Thank you, dear..." and maybe the endearment slipped out without him thinking too much about it. Xander wouldn't have time to think about it afterwards either, however, because as soon as Viktor meandered off, exhaustion overtook him, and despite his valiant efforts, Xander fell asleep.
When Viktor returned, the doctor unconsciously reacted, hand reaching for him the moment he finished cleaning him off.
Calling him dear, immediately falling asleep, reaching out for him... He is so adorable. Viktor gazes at him for another moment before putting the cloth on the nightstand and turning out the light. He wraps himself again in Xander, sighing with contentment.
Before falling asleep, Viktor's hand glides slowly over Xander's bad hip and leg, channeling healing into it. It then presses gently into his back, to send some to his spine and lungs for good measure. Hopefully, that will help him sleep more deeply and make him less sore and tired tomorrow. It serves to completely exhaust Viktor now, as well, and he soon slips into a deep slumber.
